Help Spread God’s Word

MEET OUR PREACHERS

Leo Entroso

I’m Leo G. Entroso, and I reside in Upper Sagadan, Baroy, Lanao del Norte, Philippines. I am happily married to Evangeline Ledesma, and together we are blessed with two wonderful children. Our son, Evanlee L. Entroso, works alongside me in the service of the Lord, while our daughter, Leevangie L. Entroso, brings joy to our family.

My journey in spreading the Word of God began when I was immersed in water baptism by the late Brother Wilfredo Samodal in January 1985. From that moment, I dedicated my life to preaching the teachings of God, working closely with Brother Samodal and other devoted brethren.

I had the privilege of attending numerous Bible lectureships conducted by our fellow brethren from the United States, which enriched my knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.

In the year 2000, a significant chapter in our mission unfolded as we began establishing congregations in different places. One such congregation is the Tagolalo Church of Christ in Tagolalo, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, where my son, Brother Evanlee, and I labored tirelessly for 12 years. The Tagolalo Church was located 45 kilometers away from our home, but the distance did not deter our dedication.

In 2012, we intensified our efforts to spread the gospel in neighboring areas, thanks to the generous support of Brother Mick Kadamian. We initiated a religious radio program, although it was later discontinued. Undeterred, we continued to preach through mobile sound systems, engaged in door-to-door outreach, conducted day and night gospel meetings, and gladly accepted invitations to teach lessons in other congregations.

Our journey in spreading the gospel has not been without its challenges. We often encountered opposition from those who resisted the message of Christ. Additionally, we faced difficulties with transportation, experiencing delays when our motorbike or car encountered issues. Despite these hardships, we persevered with joy in our hearts, knowing that we were doing the Lord’s work.

Through the providence of God, we were able to establish several congregations, including the Rebe Church of Christ, the Logpod Church, the Upper Sagadan Church, the Purok 4 Segapod Church, and the Tambacon Church. This year, we are delighted to report the opening of the Tubaran Church and the Maliwanag Church of Christ. We also provide support to the Purok 4 Poblacion Baroy Church of Christ. Each of these congregations is blessed with a dedicated local preacher who labors diligently.

As I conclude for now, I extend my heartfelt prayers that the Lord continues to bless you all materially, spiritually, and with good health. Your support and prayers have been instrumental in our mission, and we are grateful for your unwavering faith and generosity.

In Christian fellowship,

Leo G. Entroso

Evanlee Entroso

I am Evanlee L. Entroso, your brother in Christ. I am happily married to my wife, Flordilez Monteros, and we are blessed with two wonderful children. Our eldest, bro. Leo II, has joined me in preaching the gospel, following in the footsteps of my father, bro. Leo. We also have a beautiful daughter, Zelaea Lyle.

My journey in faith began in the year 2000 when I was baptized by my father, bro. Leo, in the river of Logpond, Tubod. This significant event marked the start of my mission to spread the saving gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Over the years, we have employed various means to share the message of salvation. Our efforts have included public preaching using sound systems, door-to-door visits, scheduled appointments, hosting large gospel meetings, and even broadcasting on radio. We are grateful to our dear brother Mick Kadamian, who not only covered the monthly radio bills but also extended support by providing essential supplies, medicines, and food for fellow believers.

Through divine guidance, we established several congregations, including the Logpond Church of Christ, Rebe Church, Upper Sagadan Church, Purok 4 Segapod Church, Tambacon Church, and most recently, the Tubaran and Maliwanag Churches. It is worth noting that some of these congregations were made possible through your generous assistance.

I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continuous support. Our prayers are filled with blessings for each one of you.

Wilter Samodal

Wilter Samodal, born on October 12, 1984, is deeply devoted to spreading God’s word, following in the footsteps of the pioneering preacher of Lanao Del Norte, the late Wilfredo B. Samodal. Even though Wilter graduated with a degree in elementary education in 2015, Wilter felt a higher calling to teach the gospel rather than academics at school. His early experience with the Church of Christ, which included a decade of helping his father, prepared him for his spiritual journey. To make ends meet, he initially attempted a career as a musician (which is one of his passions) in a band, but eventually, he followed God’s call and dedicated himself to preaching the gospel. Wilter took on the role of the local preacher, after his father passed away, continuing his father’s legacy and juggling between overcoming the difficulties of grief and taking on new responsibilities. Wilter didn’t let obstacles shake his faith even though they were present. He continuously spread the good news of the Lord, especially in the neighbouring communities. He, along with the other preachers did public preaching, inspiring them to accept the gospel and be baptized. Wilter’s story demonstrates resilience. He endured rejection and criticism from others who questioned his uncommon path and limited resources. His unwavering trust in the Lord enabled him to continue on his mission to spread the word of God. Wilter Samodal’s life serves as an example of the positive effects of faith, commitment, and pursuing a divine calling.
